Schedule: On-call, Monday–Friday (based on daily needs)

Position Overview:
Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking reliable and compassionate Behavior Technicians (BTs) to provide substitute coverage in school settings. This is a great opportunity for individuals looking to gain experience in behavioral health and education while working with children and young adults with special needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Follow the direction of the supervising BCBA, program supervisor, or teacher
- Implement behavior intervention plans (BIPs) and ABA-based strategies
- Provide 1:1 or small group behavioral support
- Assist with crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques
- Support students with daily living skills, including toileting and hygiene
- Accurately document sessions and collect data
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all school and agency policies
- Collaborate with school staff and behavioral teams
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Registered or certified BT (if required by state or district)
- CPR certification
- Experience working with children or individuals with special needs preferred
- Comfortable assisting with toileting and personal care
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be dependable and flexible for daily call-offs
