Location: Santa Maria, CA – Various school sites
Schedule: On-call, Monday–Friday (based on daily needs)
Pay Rate: $25/hour

Position Overview:

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking reliable and compassionate Behavior Technicians (BTs) to provide substitute coverage in school settings. This is a great opportunity for individuals looking to gain experience in behavioral health and education while working with children and young adults with special needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Follow the direction of the supervising BCBA, program supervisor, or teacher
• Implement behavior intervention plans (BIPs) and ABA-based strategies
• Provide 1:1 or small group behavioral support
• Assist with crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques
• Support students with daily living skills, including toileting and hygiene
• Accurately document sessions and collect data
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all school and agency policies
• Collaborate with school staff and behavioral teams

Minimum Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Registered or certified BT (if required by state or district)
• CPR certification
• Experience working with children or individuals with special needs preferred
• Comfortable assisting with toileting and personal care
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Must be dependable and flexible for daily call-offs
