Amergis Educational Staffing is seeking a full-time Special Education Teacher to support a Transition Program serving students ages 18–21 in Independence and Monmouth, OR. This in-person role begins October 13, 2025 (or ASAP) and runs for 90 days, with strong potential for extension.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM

Hours: 37.5/week

Modality: In-person only

Pay Rate: $55/hour

Caseload: 16–18 students (ages 18–21)

Support Staff: 4 Instructional Assistants, 1 Employment Specialist
Key Responsibilities:

Provide specialized instruction and behavioral support for transition-age students
-
Collaborate with support staff and general education teams
-
Participate in planning and implementation of individualized student programs
-
Maintain compliance with district, state, and federal guidelines
Minimum Requirements:
-
Valid state teaching certificate (SPED required)
-
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university (preferred)
-
Experience working with behavioral needs
-
CPR certification, TB clearance, and health certificate as applicable

Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age
