Amergis Educational Staffing is seeking a full-time Special Education Teacher to support a Transition Program serving students ages 18–21 in Independence and Monmouth, OR. This in-person role begins October 13, 2025 (or ASAP) and runs for 90 days, with strong potential for extension.

Position Overview:

• Location: Independence & Monmouth, OR

• Start Date: October 13, 2025 (or ASAP)

• Duration: 90 days (extension likely)

• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM

• Hours: 37.5/week

• Modality: In-person only

• Pay Rate: $55/hour

• Caseload: 16–18 students (ages 18–21)

• Support Staff: 4 Instructional Assistants, 1 Employment Specialist

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction and behavioral support for transition-age students

• Collaborate with support staff and general education teams

• Participate in planning and implementation of individualized student programs

• Maintain compliance with district, state, and federal guidelines

Minimum Requirements:

• Valid state teaching certificate (SPED required)

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university (preferred)

• Experience working with behavioral needs

• CPR certification, TB clearance, and health certificate as applicable

• Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
