Special Education Teacher – $50/hr | Full-Time | Phoenix, AZ | 2025–2026 School Year

Amergis Educational Staffing is seeking a full-time Special Education Teacher for a cross-categorical classroom in Phoenix, AZ. This in-person role begins September 21, 2025, and runs for a 36-week contract through the 2025–2026 school year.

Position Overview:

Modality: In-person
Grade Level: K–12
Classroom Type: Cross-Categorical
Caseload: 13 students
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7.5 hours/day (37.5 hours/week)
Pay Rate: $50/hour
Interview Format: In-person

Responsibilities:

Deliver specialized instruction aligned with student IEPs
Collaborate with general education staff and support personnel
Provide tutorial assistance and consultation as needed
Participate in planning and implementation of individualized programs

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university (preferred)
Valid Arizona teaching certificate in Special Education
One year of teaching experience (preferred)
Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred
CPR certification, TB screening, and health clearance as applicable
Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
Must be at least 18 years of age
