Special Education Teacher – $50/hr | Full-Time | Phoenix, AZ | 2025–2026 School Year

Amergis Educational Staffing is seeking a full-time Special Education Teacher for a cross-categorical classroom in Phoenix, AZ. This in-person role begins September 21, 2025, and runs for a 36-week contract through the 2025–2026 school year.

Position Overview:

• Modality: In-person

• Grade Level: K–12

• Classroom Type: Cross-Categorical

• Caseload: 13 students

• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7.5 hours/day (37.5 hours/week)

• Pay Rate: $50/hour

• Interview Format: In-person

Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction aligned with student IEPs

• Collaborate with general education staff and support personnel

• Provide tutorial assistance and consultation as needed

• Participate in planning and implementation of individualized programs

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university (preferred)

• Valid Arizona teaching certificate in Special Education

• One year of teaching experience (preferred)

• Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred

• CPR certification, TB screening, and health clearance as applicable

• Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
