Special Education Teacher (EC)
Start Date: August 18, 2025
Schedule: Full-time (37.5 hours/week); schedule varies by school
Contract Duration: 2025–2026 School Year
Under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator, the Special Education Teacher provides high-quality services to K–12 students with exceptional needs. This role involves planning and implementing individualized programs, including specialized instruction, tutorial support, and collaboration with general education staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver instruction aligned with Extended Content Standards
- Collect and analyze student data to inform instructional planning
- Collaborate with school teams to support student success
- Think creatively to meet diverse student needs
Minimum Requirements:
- Active NC EC Teacher Licensure
- Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)
- Minimum one year of teaching experience (preferred)
- Certifications (preferred):
- Standard Elementary, Secondary, and Special Teaching
- Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) Endorsement
- Current CPR certification (if applicable)
