Special Education Teacher (EC)

Start Date: August 18, 2025 
Schedule: Full-time (37.5 hours/week); schedule varies by school
Contract Duration: 2025–2026 School Year

Under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator, the Special Education Teacher provides high-quality services to K–12 students with exceptional needs. This role involves planning and implementing individualized programs, including specialized instruction, tutorial support, and collaboration with general education staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver instruction aligned with Extended Content Standards
  • Collect and analyze student data to inform instructional planning
  • Collaborate with school teams to support student success
  • Think creatively to meet diverse student needs

Minimum Requirements:

  • Active NC EC Teacher Licensure
  • Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)
  • Minimum one year of teaching experience (preferred)
  • Certifications (preferred):
    • Standard Elementary, Secondary, and Special Teaching
    • Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) Endorsement
  • Current CPR certification (if applicable)
