Amergis Staffing is currently seeking experienced PACU RNs for TRAVEL assignments in Austin, TX!

Position Details:

  • Contract Length: 10 weeks
  • Number of Openings: 3
  • Start Date: March 28
  • Hours/Shifts/Schedules: 40 hours per week, DAYS (6:00 AM – 2:30 PM, 5×8-hour shifts)
  • Rate: local/ $50hr, Travel $2436/wk
  • Compliance List: TCH PACU (WITH COVID)

Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Peds Post-op
  • Technologies: Proficiency with Epic
  • Certifications: BLS and PALS required

Job Description:

As a PACU RN, you will provide age-appropriate care for patients ranging from neonates to adults. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assessing patients with input from the patient and family.
  • Performing and documenting comprehensive assessments, including bio-physical, psychosocial, developmental, cultural, spiritual, and environmental needs.
  • Developing individualized care plans based on assessments, ensuring they are initiated, dated, and personalized within 24 hours of admission.
  • Implementing and individualizing care plans to meet the specific needs of patients and their families.
  • Demonstrating effective interpersonal skills when interacting with patients, families, visitors, peers, and other healthcare team members.
  • Continuously acquiring new knowledge and skills to improve individual, team, and organizational performance.

PACU Nurse Responsibilities:

  • Caring for patients who have undergone anesthesia.
  • Observing and treating patients post-operation to ensure they safely awaken from anesthesia.
  • Monitoring vital signs and levels of consciousness to ensure proper sedation recovery and identify any adverse reactions.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Current RN licensure in the state of Texas.
  • ACLS and PALS certification as per contract requirements.
  • Current CPR certification if applicable.
  • TB Questionnaire, PPD, or chest x-ray if applicable.
  • Current health certificate as per contract or state regulations.
  • Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
