The cardiac sonographer performs routine and complexechocardiography.  Prepares and positionspatient for echocardiography exam and explains procedure.  Operates cardiac ultrasound, doppler andsimilar equipment to perform procedures according to physician’s directive.  Observes the screen during the scan to ensurea satisfactory image for diagnostic purposes making adjustments as required.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A certification from an accredited ultrasound/sonographyschool
  • One year of experience as an ultrasoundtechnician/sonographer preferred
  • Current BLS card
  • Current TB test or chest x-ray
  • Current physical exam per state or contract requirements

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of Cardiac Sonographer experience
  • ARDMS Certification
  • OBGYN and RVT preferred
  • Hospital/ Academic Medical facility exp. desired
