Special Education Teacher – Elementary Classroom (Dallas, OR)

Pay Rate: $56/hour
Contract Length: ASAP – June (Approx. 7 months)
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours/week (30 min unpaid lunch)
Start Date: 12/1/2025
Location: Dallas, Oregon

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Special Education Teacher to lead a Structured Learning Program for students with significant behavioral needs in grades K–3. This role requires strong classroom management skills and the ability to work independently as a case manager. You will provide specialized instruction, manage a caseload, and collaborate with instructional assistants and other staff.

Essential Details

  • Caseload: 9–12 students (subject to change)
  • Support Staff: 4+ Instructional Assistants
  • Responsibilities:
    • Direct instruction and behavior management
    • Case management (may include virtual responsibilities)
    • Standard prep and paperwork time included
  • Looking for:
    • Experienced case manager
    • Strong classroom leadership skills

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university (preferred)
  • Valid state teaching certificate as required by state regulations
  • Ability to meet all federal, state, and local requirements
  • Minimum of one year teaching experience (preferred)
  • Behavioral experience required
  • Current CPR (if applicable)
  • TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray (if applicable)
  • Current health certificate (per state/contract regulations)
  • Must be at least 18 years of age

Preferred Certifications:

  • Standard Elementary, Secondary, or Special Teaching Certification
  • Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1)
