Job Title: Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
Location: Torrance – Los Angeles, California
Schedule: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Make a meaningful impact in the lives of students every day! We are seeking a dedicated Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to join our team and provide exceptional school-based behavioral support.
Key Responsibilities:
– Perform comprehensive functional behavioral assessments and generate supporting documentation to establish eligibility, level of need, and goals/objectives for students with behavioral challenges.
– Provide inclusion support tailored to the unique needs of students.
– Consult with school teams, special education and general education staff, and parents to research instructional techniques, modifications, adaptations, and materials.
– Assist school staff in developing charting systems, social stories, social groups, and social skills training.
– Use evidence-based methods and rubrics to determine levels of support and services for inclusion and extended day programs.
– Generate and conduct professional development, staff training, and seminars for educational assistants, teachers, administrators, related service providers, and parents.
– Direct, oversee, and lead a team of paraprofessionals to provide direct and consultative services to students with significant behavioral challenges.
– Assess the need for school-based services through protocols, staff and family interviews, and student observations across environments.
– Develop appropriate data collection protocols and generate written reports addressing behavioral needs, including recommendations for strategies such as token economies and picture schedules.
– Attend IEP meetings for initial requests and ongoing services to inform the IEP team.
– Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records and service logs compliant with law and district policies.
– Attend monthly Behavior Analyst Meetings (3rd Monday of the month, 3:30–4:30 PM).
Minimum Requirements:
– Current BCBA certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB)
– Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education, or related field
– Preferred experience providing behavior analytic programs and services
– Compliance with all professional standards of practice
– Current CPR certification (if applicable)
– TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray (if applicable)
– Current health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
– Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
– Must be at least 18 years of age
