Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
Location: Huntington Beach
Contract Length: 3–4 months (with possible extension)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:45 AM – 2:45 PM
Hours per Week: Approximately 32–35 hours
Start Date: ASAP
Pay: Up to $50/hr
About the Role
Amergis Staffing is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team and provide exceptional therapy services to students in a school setting. You will work under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist to help students achieve functional goals and succeed academically.
Key Details
- Caseload/Class Size: ~55 students
- Classroom Settings: Mild/Moderate (M/M), Special Day Class (SDC), and General Education
- Grade Levels: Elementary & Middle School
Requirements
- Current California COTA license/certification
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Experience:
- Previous school-based experience preferred
- Elementary-level experience strongly preferred
- Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
- Current CPR and health clearances as applicable
