School Psychologist (LSSP) | Austin, TX | $50–$58/hr | Full-Time | 37-Week Contract

Amergis Educational Staffing is seeking one Licensed School Psychologist (LSSP) to provide comprehensive psychological services to K–12 students in Austin-area schools. This full-time role begins December 1, 2025 and runs through May 28, 2026.

Position Overview

Location: Austin, TX (specific campus TBD)
Start Date: December 1, 2025
End Date: May 28, 2026
Duration: 37 weeks
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00am–4:00pm | 37 hrs/week
Modality: Campus-based (guaranteed 1 remote day per week)
Openings: 1 position available
Pay Rate: $50–$58/hr

Responsibilities

Conduct initial and re-evaluations for special education eligibility across multiple disability categories (excluding visual, hearing, and speech impairments)
Develop and implement Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)
Provide direct counseling services to students with emotional or behavioral challenges
Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to address academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs
Support students and staff during crises, including mental health emergencies or behavioral escalations
Offer professional development to staff on mental health, behavior management, and social-emotional learning
Collect and monitor student data to inform decision-making

Requirements

Current State licensure/certification as a School Psychologist (LSSP) in Texas
Master’s degree in psychology (preferred)
Experience with pediatric and adolescent populations preferred
Current CPR, TB questionnaire/PPD or chest x-ray, and health certificate (if required)
Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
Minimum age: 18
