Special Education Teacher | Medford, OR | $58/hr or $2,600/week (Travel) | Full-Time | 32-Week Contract

Amergis Educational Staffing is seeking Special Education Teachers to provide quality services to early childhood students in Medford, OR. These full-time roles begin December 1, 2025 and run through the 2025–2026 school year.

Position Overview

  • Location: Medford, OR

  • Start Date: December 1, 2025 (ASAP)

  • Duration: 32 weeks (2025–2026 school year)

  • Schedule: Monday–Friday | 40 hrs/week

    • M, T, Th, F: Classroom instruction

    • Wednesday: Staff collaboration day

  • Positions Available: 2 openings

  • Caseload: 2–8 students (ages 3–5)

  • Classroom Support: 3 instructional assistants

  • Pay Rate: $58/hr or $2,600/week for travelers

Responsibilities

  • Deliver individualized instruction aligned with IEP goals

  • Collect and input student data into IEPs

  • Support students with mild to moderate behavioral needs

  • Collaborate with instructional assistants, families, and school staff

  • Build rapport with students and families to foster a supportive learning environment

  • Participate in staff collaboration and team planning

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university (preferred)

  • Valid Oregon Special Education license or ability to obtain

  • Minimum 1 year of teaching experience preferred

  • State Teacher Certification (Elementary, Secondary, Special Teaching preferred)

  • Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred

  • Current CPR, TB questionnaire/PPD or chest x-ray, and health certificate (if required)

  • Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements

  • Minimum age: 18
