Job Title: Mild to Moderate Special Education Teacher

Location: El Monte, CA

Start Date: Immediate openings available


Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to provide quality educational services to students with mild to moderate disabilities in a school-based setting. Under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator, the teacher will support students from kindergarten through grade 12, collaborating with general education staff to implement individualized programs that promote academic and social success.

Key Responsibilities:

– Deliver specialized instruction tailored to students’ IEP goals

– Provide tutorial assistance and consultation to general education teachers

– Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of student plans

– Maintain accurate records and comply with all reporting requirements

– Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment

Minimum Requirements:

– Bachelor’s Degree

– Valid California teaching credential in Special Education (Mild/Moderate)

– Minimum of one year of teaching experience (preferred)

– Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred

– Must comply with all relevant professional standards of practice

– Current CPR certification (if applicable)

– TB questionnaire, PPD test, or chest x-ray (if applicable)

– Current health certificate (as required by state or contract)

– Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements

– Must be at least 18 years of age
