Speech LanguagePathologist Assistant (SLPA) – Houston, TX

Position Type: In-Person
Schedule: Up to 40 hours/week (School Hours)

Pay:  $45/hr
Contract Length: Remainder of the 2025–2026 School Year

Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA)to join our school-based team in the Houston, TX area. This role supportslicensed Speech-Language Pathologists in delivering high-quality speech andlanguage services to students. Assignments are determined by priority of needand not by campus preference.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in implementing speech and language programs under the supervision of a licensed SLP
  • Provide direct treatment and support to students with communication disorders
  • Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes
  • Collaborate with educational staff and families to support student goals
  • Follow all professional standards and ethical guidelines

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree from an SLPA program or Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
  • Completion of at least 100 hours of supervised fieldwork or equivalent clinical experience
  • Active Texas SLPA license
  • Minimum of 1 year of professional SLPA experience preferred
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Current TB screening and health certificate (as required by state or contract)
  • Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements

Caseload & Campus Info:

  • Caseload: 50–60 students (Amergisum of 70)
  • Specific campus assignments: TBD
  • Location selection is not available; assignments are based on district needs

Skills & Attributes:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of speech-language disorders and treatment strategies
  • Organized and detail-oriented with a collaborative mindset
