Amergis Educational Staffing is hiring a Special Education Teacher for a full-time position in Cerritos, CA. This role begins ASAP and runs for 36 weeks, with options to extend into summer or the following school year.

Position Details

Location: Cerritos, CA
Start Date: November 23, 2025
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00am–2:00pm (40 hrs/week)
Pay Rate: $50/hr
Modality: In-person only
Grade Levels: K–12
Class Size: Up to 50 students
Credential Required: Mild/Moderate

Responsibilities

Provide quality services to special education students
Collaborate with general education staff to support student programs
Deliver special instruction and tutorial assistance
Participate in planning and implementation of IEPs
Maintain compliance with district and state standards

Requirements

Valid California teaching certificate (Mild/Moderate credential required)
Bachelor’s degree (preferred)
Experience in pediatric populations and teaching environments
LBS1 endorsement (preferred)
CPR, TB screening, and health certificate (if applicable)
Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
Minimum age: 18
