Amergis Educational Staffing is hiring a Special Education Teacher for a full-time position in Cerritos, CA. This role begins ASAP and runs for 36 weeks, with options to extend into summer or the following school year.

Position Details

• Location: Cerritos, CA

• Start Date: November 23, 2025

• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00am–2:00pm (40 hrs/week)

• Pay Rate: $50/hr

• Modality: In-person only

• Grade Levels: K–12

• Class Size: Up to 50 students

• Credential Required: Mild/Moderate

Responsibilities

• Provide quality services to special education students

• Collaborate with general education staff to support student programs

• Deliver special instruction and tutorial assistance

• Participate in planning and implementation of IEPs

• Maintain compliance with district and state standards

Requirements

• Valid California teaching certificate (Mild/Moderate credential required)

• Bachelor’s degree (preferred)

• Experience in pediatric populations and teaching environments

• LBS1 endorsement (preferred)

• CPR, TB screening, and health certificate (if applicable)

• Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements

• Minimum age: 18
