Start Date: December 2025 | 13-Week Contract

We’re seeking an experienced CVOR RN for a travel assignment at a leading hospital in Palo Alto, California. This is a hospital-based role in a high-acuity cardiovascular operating room, offering the opportunity to work with advanced technology and a collaborative team.

Position Highlights

• Location: Palo Alto, CA
• Setting: Hospital – Cardiovascular Operating Room
• Start Window: December 2025
• Contract Length: 13 weeks, with potential for extension
• Schedule: 3x12s (36 hours/week)
• Shift: Days, Variable start times (6:30, 8:45, or 10:45); must be available for overnight call (11:00 PM – 7:00 AM) as needed

Required Qualifications

• Must be a traveler (permanent address 50+ miles from the facility)
• CA RN License
• 3+ years of CVOR RN experience
• Ability to scrub: Complex Cadiac, Vascular and Thoracic Surgeries
• Certifications:
  • BLS (American Heart Association)
  • ACLS
• EPIC EMR proficiency
• Prior travel RN experience

Additional Compliance Requirements

• TB Questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray (if applicable)
• Current Health Certificate (per contract or state regulation)
• Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
• Successful completion of new hire training as applicable to job site
• Understanding of patient confidentiality and HIPAA requirements
• Ability to effectively communicate with supervisors, co-workers, and clients; proficiency in English required
• Computer proficiency required

What You’ll Do

Provide perioperative nursing care for cardiovascular surgical procedures, scrub and assist surgeons, monitor patient status, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe and effective outcomes.
