Start Date: December 2025 | 13-Week Contract

We’re seeking an experienced PACU RN with an ICU background for a travel assignment at a leading hospital in Palo Alto, California. This is a hospital-based role in a high-acuity post-anesthesia care unit, offering the opportunity to work with advanced technology and a collaborative team.

Position Highlights

• Location: Palo Alto, CA
• Setting: Hospital – PACU
• Start Window: December 2025
• Contract Length: 13 weeks, with potential for extension
• Schedule: 3x12s (36 hours/week)
• Shift: Rotating – Candidate must be flexible to work 3 days per week, which may include weekends and occasional night shifts

Required Qualifications

• Must be a traveler (permanent address 50+ miles from the facility)
• CA RN License
• 3+ years of PACU RN experience
• 2+ years ICU experience – Required
• Certifications:
  • BLS (American Heart Association)
  • ACLS
• EPIC EMR proficiency
• Prior travel RN experience

Additional Compliance Requirements

• TB Questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray (if applicable)
• Current Health Certificate (per contract or state regulation)
• Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
• Successful completion of new hire training as applicable to job site
• Understanding of patient confidentiality and HIPAA requirements
• Ability to effectively communicate with supervisors, co-workers, and clients; proficiency in English required
• Computer proficiency required

What You’ll Do

Provide post-anesthesia care for patients recovering from surgical procedures, monitor vital signs, manage pain, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe and effective recovery.
