  • Location: Schertz, TX
  • Duration: ASAP – May 2026
  • Hours: 37 hour work week 
  • Pay: $45 hourly


Primary Purpose:

  • Deliver multisensory, structured literacy instruction to students with dyslexia.

  • Ensure compliance with the Texas Dyslexia Handbook and TEA guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct instruction using programs like Take FlightBasic Language Skills, or other approved curricula.

  • Collaborate with campus staff to identify students needing dyslexia services.

  • Maintain documentation, progress monitoring, and student records.

  • Support students under Section 504 or special education services.

  • Communicate with parents and participate in ARD/504 meetings as needed.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (minimum); Texas teaching certification.

  • Preferred: CALT (Certified Academic Language Therapist) or LDT (Licensed Dyslexia Therapist).

  • Training in structured literacy and multisensory instruction methods.

Skills & Traits:

  • Strong understanding of dyslexia characteristics and intervention strategies.

  • Ability to deliver individualized instruction and track student growth.

  • Collaborative mindset and effective communication skills.
