Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) | Chicago, IL | $48/hr | Full-Time | ASAP–June 9

Amergis Educational Staffing is seeking a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) to support students in Chicago, IL across elementary, middle, and high school levels. This in-person role begins as soon as possible and runs through June 9, 2026.

Position Details

• Location: Chicago, IL

• Start Date: ASAP

• End Date: June 9, 2026

• Schedule: Monday–Friday

• Hours: 40/week (8:00am–4:00pm)

• Modality: In-person

• Grade Levels: Elementary, Middle, and High School

• Pay Rate: $48/hr

• Interview: Virtual via Google Meets with Director of Specialized Instruction

Responsibilities

• Assist SLP with clinical, educational, and treatment-related activities

• Provide speech and language services within scope of care

• Support documentation and progress monitoring

• Collaborate with staff and maintain professional standards

• Follow all district, state, and Amergis policies

Requirements

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders

• Active SLPA license in Illinois

• Minimum 100 hours of supervised fieldwork or equivalent

• 1 year of SLPA experience preferred

• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills

• CPR, TB screening, and health certificate (if applicable)

• Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements

• Minimum age: 18
