Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) | Huntsville, TX | $40/hr | 2025–2026 SY | Nov 10 Start

Amergis Educational Staffing is seeking a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) to support students in Huntsville, TX for the remainder of the 2025–2026 school year. This role begins November 10, 2025 and offers both in-person and hybrid (3/2) options, with in-person preferred.

Position Details

  • Location: Huntsville, TX

  • Start Date: November 10, 2025

  • End Date: End of school year

  • Schedule: Monday–Friday

  • Hours: 37.5–40/week (school hours)

  • Modality: In-person preferred; hybrid (3/2) accepted

  • Grade Levels: Elementary, Middle, and High School

  • Caseload: 50–60 students (Amergisum 70)

  • Floating: Assignments based on need; campus location not selectable

  • Openings: 1

  • Pay Rate: $40/hr

Responsibilities

  • Assist SLP with clinical, educational, and treatment-related activities

  • Provide speech and language services within scope of care

  • Support documentation and progress monitoring

  • Collaborate with staff and maintain professional standards

  • Follow all district, state, and Amergis policies

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communicative Sciences and Disorders

  • Active Texas SLPA license

  • Minimum 100 hours of supervised fieldwork or equivalent

  • 1 year of SLPA experience preferred

  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills

  • Knowledge of speech-language disorders and conditions

  • CPR, TB screening, and health certificate (if applicable)

  • Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements

  • Minimum age: 18
