Amergis is seeking passionate and qualified Special Education Teachers to support students across all grade levels in Escambia County Schools, Alabama. This role includes working in self-contained classrooms with a strong emphasis on resource-based instruction, helping students with diverse learning needs thrive in a collaborative and inclusive environment.

?? What You’ll Do:

• Deliver individualized instruction in self-contained and resource settings
• Collaborate with general education staff to promote inclusive learning practices
• Develop and implement IEPs tailored to student needs
• Communicate regularly with families and school teams
• Monitor student progress and adjust strategies to support growth

?? Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university (Psychology or Sociology majors preferred if not certified)
• Valid Alabama Teaching Certificate in Special Education (Elementary, Secondary, or both)
• OR eligibility for an Alternative Special Education Certificate in Alabama
• Preferred endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1)
• Minimum 1 year of teaching experience (preferred)
• Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
• Must be 18 years or older
• CPR Certification, TB screening, and Health Certificate (if applicable)
