Job Title: Mild/Moderate Special Education Teacher

Location: El Monte

Overview: We are seeking a passionate and qualified Mild/Moderate Special Education Teacher to join our dedicated team in Cerritos, CA. This role is ideal for an educator who thrives in inclusive learning environments and is committed to supporting students with diverse learning needs.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with mild to moderate disabilities

• Provide direct instruction and academic support in small group and 1:1 settings

• Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families to support student success

• Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed

• Maintain accurate records and comply with all state and federal special education regulations

• Foster a positive, inclusive, and structured classroom environment

Qualifications:

• Valid California Education Specialist Credential (Mild/Moderate Support Needs)

• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field (Master’s preferred)

• Experience working with students with learning disabilities, ADHD, autism spectrum disorders, and other mild/moderate needs

• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

• Knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and compliance

• Ability to differentiate instruction and manage classroom behavior effectively

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday during school hours
