About the Role:
We are seeking acompassionate and dependable Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or LicensedVocational Nurse (LVN) to provide 1:1 medical support for a pre-K student in aschool setting. This role involves monitoring and addressing health concernsthroughout the school day, promoting wellness, and supporting diseaseprevention efforts. The nurse will also accompany the student on the bus ridehome to ensure continued care and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care to a Pre-K student with medical needs
- Monitor the student’s physical condition and respond to health concerns throughout the school day
- Support the Pre-K classroom as needed
- Collaborate with school staff and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care
- Maintain documentation and comply with all applicable state education codes and nursing standards
Minimum Qualifications:
- Current LPN license in the state of North Carolina
- One year of school nurse experience preferred
- One year of pediatric experience preferred
- Current CPR certification
- TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray (if applicable)
- Current health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
- Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
