Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Opportunities – Georgia War Veterans Home, Augusta, GA
Georgia War Veterans Home is currently hiring Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) for its long-term care (LTC) facility in Augusta, GA. Openings are available across all three shifts:
- 1st Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
- 3rd Shift: 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM
All shifts are Monday through Friday and include every other weekend. Please note: 12- and 16-hour shifts are not available at this time.
Application Requirements:
To be considered, applicants must submit:
- Resume highlighting relevant experience (minimum 1 year in a long-term care setting)
- Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Current CNA license that is active and verifiable on the Georgia MMIS portal
(Out-of-state certifications are not accepted in lieu of Georgia licensure.)

Position Description:
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) performs direct patient care under the direct supervision of a RN or LPN/LVN or other licensed medical professional. The CNA/NA performs a variety of individualized patient care activities and related non-professional services necessary in caring for the personal needs and comforts of patients.
Minimum Requirements:
- Prefer one year experience as a certified nursing assistant within the last three years
- Graduate from certified nursing assistant program with subsequent documentation as a certified nursing assistant per state requirements with proof of verification as being an active certification and in good-standing
- Knowledge of medical terminology and knowledge of clerical functions
- Current CPR if applicable
- TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
- Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
- Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
