Amergis is currentlyseeking experienced PACU RNs for LOCALassignments in Brockton, MA!

Position Details:

Contract Length: 13 wks

Number of Openings: 1

Start Date: 11/17

Hours/Shifts/Schedules: 32-40 hrs/wk, Days/Evenings

*Night, weekend, and holiday call rotation required*

4 or 5 – 8hr shifts, 3p-11:30p – for a total of 32-40 hrs/week OR

2-12h (day/evening combo) + 1-2-8hr shifts (3-11:30p) – for a total of 32-40 hrs/week OR

3-12h shifts (primarily 11a-11:30p with possible 9a-9:30p) – total of 36 hrs/week 

Setting/Day to day

• Acute care hospital setting
• EMR: Meditech

Requirements

• 1+ yr PACU experience REQUIRED
• Must have Critical Care experience
• BLS, ACLS, REQUIRED
• MA RN License in hand 
• Preferred Skills: pediatric, preop, PALS cert, and Meditech experience

The post-anesthesia care Unit (PACU) nurse cares forpatients who have under gone anesthesia.  The post-anesthesia care Unit (PACU) nurse is responsible for observingand treating a patient postoperation and making sure that they safely awakefrom anesthesia.  The PACU nurse mustmonitor vital signs and levels of consciousness to make sure that the sedationis wearing off properly, there are no adverse reactions occurring and patientsare regaining consciousness.

Minimum Requirements:

• Current RN licensure in the state in which RN is working.
• ACLS and PALS certification per contract requirements.
• Current CPR if applicable
• TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable 
• Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation) 
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements 
• Must be at least 18 years of age
