Job Opening: Behavior Technician
?? Location:School District – Multiple Campuses (Minimal travel required)
?? Start Date: November10th or ASAP
?? Schedule:Full-Time, 37.5 hours/week (Start times vary between 7–8 AM; end times between3–4 PM)
?? Duration:Through May 29, 2026
Position Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and adaptable Behavior Technicianto support students with special needs across multiple campuses within a localschool district. This in-person role focuses on facilitating educational andbehavioral services, collaborating with school professionals, and helpingstudents reintegrate into general education classrooms.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct behavioral support to students (primarily Kindergarten and elementary age)
- Address challenging behaviors including kicking, screaming, biting, hitting, elopement, and schizophrenia
- Collaborate with educators and behavioral specialists to implement strategies
- Coach teachers on behavior support techniques to promote student independence
- Work toward phasing out support as students progress
- Maintain accurate documentation using Ed Plan platform
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent (required)
- Minimum 2 years of pediatric experience (preferred)
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- CPR certification (if applicable)
- TB screening (questionnaire, PPD, or chest x-ray as applicable)
- Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
- CPI training certification (preferred but not required)

- Caseload: Currently 2 students, may vary slightly
- Work Type: In-person only
- Employee Type: 180-day employee (works only when students are present)

- District Support: Strong leadership with SPED Director experienced in behavior
