School Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) – $50/hour
Location: Santa Barbara, CA
Schedule: 3 days/week | 24 hours/week | In-person only
Contract Length: 35 weeks
Start Date: ASAP
Amergis is seeking a qualified Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to provide school-based physical therapy services to students across the district. The PTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist and in accordance with the physician’s plan of care to support students’ mobility, physical development, and therapeutic needs.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver physical therapy treatments as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist
- Assist in implementing individualized therapy plans
- Document student progress and maintain accurate records
- Collaborate with educational staff and healthcare professionals to support student success
Minimum Requirements:
- Current licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant in California
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program
- One (1) year of professional PTA experience preferred
- School-based experience preferred
- Current CPR certification (if applicable)
- TB questionnaire, PPD test, or chest x-ray (if applicable)
- Current health certificate (as required by contract or state regulation)
- Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
Compensation:
- Local Pay Rate: $50/hour
