Leadership Opportunity in Special Education – Fall River, MA
Are you a skilled educator with a passion for supporting students with diverse needs? Amergis Educational Staffing is seeking a Lead Teacher Assistants to join a dedicated school team in Fall River, MA for the 2025–2026 academic year.
This role is ideal for someone with hands-on experience in behavioral and intellectual disabilities who’s ready to take on a leadership role and pursue a teaching license.
Position Snapshot
- Location: Fall River, MA
- Start Date: Immediate
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:20 AM – 2:30 PM
- Duration: Full school year (2025–2026)
- Pay: Up to $35/hour
Key Responsibilities
- Guide and support paraprofessional staff in specialized classroom settings
- Deliver direct assistance to students in both 1:1 and small group formats
- Implement behavior plans and academic activities tailored to student needs
- Track and analyze behavioral data and student progress
- Collaborate with educators and school teams to maintain consistent support strategies
- Assist with personal care tasks, including changing and toileting
- Contribute to IEP development and execution
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree (required)
- At least 2 years of experience working with individuals with behavioral and intellectual disabilities
- Proven leadership in educational or behavioral environments
- Strong skills in de-escalation, behavior tracking, and data collection
- Interest in pursuing a teaching license
- Comfortable supporting students with challenging behaviors (e.g., aggression, elopement, flopping, self-injury)
