Contract Duration: Through the 2025–2026 school year
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:45 AM – 3:15 PM (37.5 hours/week)

Position Overview

Amergis Staffing is seeking a dedicated Virtual Exceptional Children (EC) Teacher to provide high-quality special education services to students in grades K–12. This role is ideal for educators passionate about inclusive virtual learning and committed to supporting diverse student needs.

You’ll work closely with the EC team, general education staff, and families to implement individualized education programs (IEPs), provide specialized instruction, and ensure student success in a remote environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging virtual instruction using Google Classroom and Google Meet
• Adapt lessons and schedules to meet individual student needs
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation, assessments, and IEPs
• Collaborate with classroom teachers to gather data for IEPs and accommodations
• Communicate regularly with EC TA, parents, staff, and administration
• Manage a caseload of 20 students
• Utilize 60 minutes of daily planning time to prepare and refine instruction

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university (preferred)
• Valid North Carolina EC teaching license (required)
• At least one year of teaching experience (preferred)
• Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) (preferred)
• Certifications: Standard Elementary, Secondary, or Special Teaching (preferred)
• Compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Current CPR certification, TB questionnaire, and health certificate (if applicable)
