?? Pay: $45/hour
?? Contract: Through the end of the school year

About the Role

We’re looking for a passionate and skilled Special Education Teacher to join our elementary team. If you’re committed to supporting students with diverse learning needs and thrive in a collaborative environment, we’d love to hear from you!

What You’ll Do

? Instruction & Planning

Develop engaging lesson plans
Deliver group and individual instruction
Create student schedules aligned with IEP service minutes

? Collaboration & Communication

Work closely with general education teachers, team members, and administrators
Communicate regularly with parents/guardians
Lead weekly meetings with Instructional Assistants

? Compliance & Documentation

Ensure Special Education compliance standards and timelines
Complete all required Special Education paperwork
Facilitate IEP and Evaluation meetings

? Student Support & Assessment

Manage behavior using PBIS, IEPs, and district guidelines
Administer district and state assessments
Collect and analyze student data

? Leadership & Supervision

Schedule and supervise Instructional Assistants
Attend staff meetings and professional development

?? Other Duties as Assigned
Support the efficient and effective functioning of the school environment.

Requirements

? Active Missouri Teaching License – Special Education
? Fingerprint clearance
? Meet DESE requirements
? Current CPR certification
? 1+ year of experience in Special Education (preferred)
