Occupational Therapist (School-Based FMLA) | $62/hr | Des Plaines, IL | March–June 2026

Position Summary

Amergis Educational Staffing is seeking a school-based Occupational Therapist to cover an FMLA leave in Des Plaines, IL. This elementary-level role begins March 4, 2026 and runs through June 5, 2026. The OT will support students’ fine motor and sensory processing needs, develop IEPs, and collaborate with school teams and families.

  • Hours: 32 hours/week, Monday–Friday, 7:20 AM–2:35 PM

  • End Date: June 5, 2026

  • Duration: 13 weeks

  • Pay: $62 per hour

  • Interview: Virtual

Responsibilities

  • Provide therapy services to support fine motor and sensory processing

  • Conduct evaluations and write reports

  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)

  • Collect and analyze data on student progress

  • Collaborate with IEP teams, parents, and school staff

  • Maintain documentation in compliance with district and state guidelines

Qualifications

  • Current Occupational Therapist licensure in Illinois

  • One year of professional OT experience preferred

  • CPR certification, TB/PPD clearance, and health certificate as applicable

  • Compliance with all federal, state, and local employment requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
