Special Education Resource Teacher | $60/hr (Local) | Santa Maria, CA | ASAP–End of School Year
Amergis Educational Staffing is seeking two dedicated Special Education Resource Teachers to provide specialized academic instruction and support for students with disabilities in resource and inclusive settings at a TK–8 site in Santa Maria, California. Full-time, in-person assignments with a 40-hour work week.
Position Overview

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM

Compensation

Local Pay Rate (Mild/Moderate credential): $60/hr

Travel Weekly Pay (if applicable): $3,000/week
Key Responsibilities
-
Provide direct instruction and support to students with IEPs in resource and general education settings
-
Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in compliance with federal, state, and district guidelines
-
Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families to support student progress
-
Use data to inform instruction and monitor outcomes
-
Maintain timely and accurate documentation using the SIRAS IEP system
-
Participate in IEP meetings, student study teams, and professional development activities
-
Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
Qualifications
-
Valid California Education Specialist Credential in Mild/Moderate required
-
Experience working with students with a range of disabilities, including learning, behavioral, and emotional needs
-
Strong knowledge of IEP development and implementation
-
Familiarity with SIRAS or similar IEP management systems preferred
-
Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
