Special Education Teacher

Amergis Educational Staffing is actively hiring SpecialEducation Teachers for full-time, in-person roles in Barre, Vermontfor the remainder of the school year. Multiple grade levels are available, andcandidates are encouraged to share their preferences.

Position Summary:

Under the supervision of the Special Education ProgramAdministrator, the Special Education Teacher provides high-qualityinstructional services to students in grades K–12. This role emphasizescollaboration and teamwork in the planning and implementation of individualizededucation programs (IEPs), including specialized instruction, academic support,and consultation with general education staff.

Compensation:

• Hourly Rate: $62–$64/hr

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university (preferred)
• Valid Vermont teaching certification as required by state and district regulations
• Minimum of one year of teaching experience (preferred)
• Preferred certifications:
• Standard Elementary Teaching
• Standard Secondary Teaching
• Standard Special Education Teaching
• Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) endorsement
• Compliance with all professional standards of practice
• Current CPR certification (if applicable)
• TB questionnaire, PPD test, or chest X-ray (if applicable)
• Current health certificate (as required by contract or regulation)
• Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age
