RN School 1.1

The 1:1 School Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for overseeing the implementation of the nursing process and delivering individualized student care within the school environment. This role ensures that all services are provided in alignment with physician orders and in accordance with the standards, policies, and philosophy of both the School District and Amergis Healthcare.  

Minimum Requirements:  

• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in state(s) where practicing  
• One year of school nursing experience, preferred  
• Pediatric experience, preferred  
• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice  
• Current CPR if applicable 
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable  
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)  
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements  
• Must be at least 18 years of age   

Essential Job Details:	1:1 RN working with a High School student at Burlingame Creek who has had trauma and currently has behaviors in the morning and working as a classroom nurse at Sam Barlow High School in the afternoons.
Technical Skills Needed/Minimum Experience/Qualifications	– RN – OR License – Fluent in Spanish – Preferred Mental Health / Pediatric Experience – Candidate should be ready to hit the ground running.

Location:	Split times within two schools: Burlingame Creek Gresham Barlow School District – High School within SD – Sam Barlow HS
Length of Contract:	Duration of the 25/26 school year
Hours/Week (Paid/Unpaid Lunch):	40 hours / week
Position Details (Age group, Caseload, Duties):	Working 1:1 with a female freshman in High School who has been in and out of school due to mental health difficulties. They are currently at Burlingame Creek and they experience behaviors such as eloping and self-harm.  In the afternoon, they will be working at Sam Barlow HS as a Classroom Nurse.
