Orthopedic Med Surg RN

The Orthopedic Registered Nurse focuses on caring forpatients with musculoskeletal diseases and disorders.  These orthopedic issues include conditionslike arthritis, bone fractures, broken bones, joint replacements, geneticmalformations, arthritis, and osteoporosis. The Orthopedic Registered Nurse is knowledgeable with traction, casting,mobility devices, and pain management. The Orthopedic Registered Nurse will assist physicians with preparationfor procedures, surgery and assist patients with their postoperativerecovery.  

Modality: Ortho Med Surg RN 

Shift: Rotating, 7-730 – typically every 2-3 weeks but can be discussed with NM during interview/phone screen

Pay Rate: Local: $50/hour Travel: $2400/week ($20.20/hr + $1113 housing and $560 meals)

To receive the travel rate, candidates must be 120 miles from UH Cleveland Medical Center

Minimum Requirements:

• One (1) year of nursing experience preferred in anorthopedic unit
• Current Registered Nurse License for the state in which thenurse practices
• Orthopedic Nurse Certification (ONC) preferred
• Current CPR if applicable
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable 
• Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation) 
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements 
• Must be at least 18 years of age
