Job Title: Special Education (SPED) Teacher – MiddleSchool

Location: South St. Paul, MN
Contract Duration: Immediate start through end of the 2025–2026 schoolyear
Pay Rate: $50/hour

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SpecialEducation Teacher to join a Middle School team in South St. Paul, MN. This is acontract position through the end of the school year, offering a competitivehourly rate and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in students’ lives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialized instruction to middle school students with diverse learning needs.
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with staff and families.
  • Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and administration.
  • Maintain accurate records and comply with all federal, state, and district regulations.
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university (preferred).
  • Valid Minnesota teaching license with appropriate endorsements:
    • Standard Elementary Teaching (preferred)
    • Standard Secondary Teaching (preferred)
    • Standard Special Teaching (preferred)
    • Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) endorsement (preferred)
  • Minimum of one year of teaching experience (preferred).
  • Compliance with all relevant professional standards of practice.
  • Current CPR certification (if applicable).
  • TB questionnaire, PPD test, or chest x-ray (if applicable).
  • Current health certificate (per contract or state regulation).
  • Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Previous experience in school or pediatric settings (preferred).
