Details:
Transitional support for the district; may be 1:1 or classroom based
Working with students through BIPs and IEPs, as well as crisis management
Behavior intervention/support and documentation
Requirements:
Must have at least 1 year of behavioral experience
Previous experience in schools preferred
RBT license/certification is highly preferred
Previous experience working with extreme behaviors is required
physical/verbal aggression, SIB, throwing items, hitting/kicking/scratching, etc.
The Registered/Certified Behavior Technician works tofacilitate educational and behavioral services with children and adults withspecial needs and collaborates with school professionals and other behavioralspecialists to achieve learning and behavioral goals and objectives. TheRegistered/Certified Behavior Technician can support implementation of AppliedBehavior Analysis (ABA) therapeutic services.
Minimum Requirements:
- Registered BehaviorTechnician (RBT) certification and/or State Certified Behavior Technician (CBT)license (as applicable per state/contract)
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Two (2) years relevant experience preferred
- One year relevant experience preferred
- Associates degree in behavioral studies or related fieldpreferred
- Complies with all relevant professional standards ofpractice
- Current CPR if applicable
- TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
- Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation)
- Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
