Amergis is hiring School Aides to support students in El Monte, Pasadena, and throughout Los Angeles County. If you’re passionate about education and want to make a meaningful impact every day, this is your chance to join a mission-driven team.

In this role, you’ll work closely with students who have diverse learning and developmental needs, helping create a safe, inclusive, and empowering classroom environment.

?? Compensation & Schedule

• Pay: $17–$21/hour (based on experience)

• Schedule: Monday–Friday, standard school hours

• Location: School sites in El Monte, Pasadena, and across LA County

?? What You’ll Do

• Support students with behavioral, developmental, and academic needs alongside teachers and specialists

• Assist with mobility, personal care, and therapeutic routines (training provided)

• Help maintain a positive, structured classroom environment

• Offer consistent emotional and academic encouragement to help students feel confident and supported

??? What You’ll Need

• High school diploma or equivalent

• CPR certification (or willingness to obtain—support provided)

• TB screening and health clearance (per state or contract requirements)

• Must be at least 18 years old

• Must meet all federal, state, and local employment requirements

• A strong commitment to supporting children with diverse needs

?? Preferred Background We especially welcome candidates with experience in:

• Caregiving, homecare, classroom support, or after-school programs

• Working with children, particularly those with special needs

• Demonstrating patience, empathy, and strong communication skills

• Bringing a positive attitude and collaborative spirit to every interaction
