Occupational Therapist – School-Based (Escondido, CA)
Start Date: ASAP – June 10, 2026
Location: Escondido, CA
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
Hours: 40 hours/week
Setting: In-person only, across multiple school sites (typically one site per day; occasional travel between sites may be required)
Grade Levels: Elementary and Middle School
Caseload: 55–65 students
Classroom Environment: Special Education classrooms

Compensation

• Local Pay Rate: $68/hr

Requirements

• Active California Occupational Therapist (CA OT) license
• Minimum 1 year of professional OT experience preferred
• Prior school-based experience strongly preferred
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• CPR certification (if applicable)
• TB clearance (questionnaire, PPD, or chest x-ray)
• Current health certificate (as required by contract or state regulation)
• Must meet all federal, state, and local employment requirements

Responsibilities

• Conduct student evaluations
• Develop and implement individualized therapy plans
• Provide direct therapy services
• Maintain accurate documentation in alignment with student care plans
• Collaborate with educators and support staff to promote student success
