Amergis Educational Staffing is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher with an LBS1 endorsement to support middle school students in an inclusive classroom setting in Chicago, Illinois. This in-person position begins October 14, 2025, and runs through the end of the 2025–2026 school year.

Position Overview:

Location: Chicago, IL
Start Date: October 14, 2025
End Date: End of school year (June 2026)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Work Hours: 32 hours/week
Pay Rate: $50/hr
Modality: In-person
Grade Levels: 6th–8th (Middle School)
Caseload: 10 students
Classroom Type: Inclusion with shared paraprofessional support
Interview Format: Virtual

Responsibilities:

Provide individualized and small-group instruction to students with special needs
Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to implement IEPs
Participate in team planning and student program development
Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with district and state guidelines
Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university (preferred)
Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with LBS1 endorsement
State certification in elementary, secondary, or special education (preferred)
Minimum of one year of teaching experience (preferred)
CPR certification, TB clearance, and health certificate as applicable
Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
Must be at least 18 years of age
