The School Aide is an individual who works with students requiring instructional, and/or behavioral assistance under the supervision of the special education department and/or supervising designee. The School Aide may also provide support services to assist students with personal, physical mobility and therapeutic care needs, as established by a rehabilitation health practitioner, social worker or other health care professional.
Minimum Requirements:
- Paraprofessional license
- School experience shown on resume
- Current CPR if applicable
- TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
- Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
- Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Pre onboarding docs complete prior to a virtual screening with a recruiter

School services intellectually and developmentally delayed students aged 3-22 years old Places paras in positions that match personality and experience -Year Round (only off 5 weeks of the year) -15 min break and cannot leave the building -classroom para, rotate between the students so no one feels left out and just in case para absences happen they are used to all students -around 7 classrooms with varying levels of disabilities, some with autism and some with physical ailments -must be comfortable with toileting and communication devices |
