Assists physicians with diagnosing and treating cardiac andperipheral vascular disease and cardiac arrhythmias in the Cath/EP Lab.  Specializes in the care of patientsundergoing PTCA, stent placement, IABP placement, EP devices andablations.  The Cardiac Cath LabTechnologist functions as a technical resource and provides scrub assistance tocardiologists in the performance of diagnostic and therapeutic interventionalcardiac and peripheral vascular procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Graduate of CCAHEP or ASCP/SCP accredited program preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in biology, anatomy, physiology,or a related field • At least 1 year ofexperience in Cardiac Cath Lab preferred.
  • ACLS/PALS per contract requirements.  
  • Current CPR if applicable
  • TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable   
  • Must meet all federal, state and local requirements 
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • 6:30a-8p – 3 shifts/wk for 39 hours. Potential to pick up extra.
  • Start Date: 11/17, 13 Weeks
  • Cath Lab experience REQ*** ARRT and RCIS is acceptable. Experienced Radiology tech with SH, vascular and interventional cardiology background. We do a 6 week schedule. 8 call days which includes one weekend of call. We do 3- 13 hour shifts and with potential of picking up extra. Techs will scrub and monitor, experience with Epic and Xper.
  • We are a high acuity hospital with over 1000 beds Trauma 1 center. We are also a teaching hospital and have fellow and new attending at all times. We do a lot of TAVRS, Clips. LAAO,CTO,PCI and CLIs. We participate in research cases and use rota, laser, IVUS, Penumbra, OCT and other imaging and atherectomy devices.
