We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Special Education Teacher to join a collaborative school team in Plymouth. This role offers the opportunity to work directly with students in the special education program, supporting their academic, behavioral, and developmental growth in a structured and inclusive environment.
What You’ll Do:
- Provide individualized instruction and support to students in the special education program
- Develop and implement IEPs in collaboration with families and school staff
- Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
- Collaborate with paraprofessionals, therapists, and general education teachers

Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university (preferred)
- Valid state teaching certificate as required by state, contract/district regulations
- PELSB certification
- Previous school experience preferred
- Minimum of one year experience in a teaching environment (preferred)
- State Teacher Certification; Type:
– Standard Elementary Teaching (preferred)
– Standard Secondary Teaching (preferred)
– Standard Special Teaching (preferred) - Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) (preferred)
- Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
- Current CPR (if applicable)
- TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray (if applicable)
- Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
- Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
