We are seeking a committed and compassionate Special Education Teacher to join a collaborative school team in Lakeville. This role offers the opportunity to work directly with students in specialized programs, helping them achieve academic and developmental success in a supportive learning environment.

What You’ll Do:

• Deliver individualized instruction and support to students in the special education program
• Develop and implement IEPs in collaboration with families and school staff
• Monitor student progress and adjust strategies to meet evolving needs
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
• Collaborate with paraprofessionals, therapists, and general education teachers

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university (preferred)
• Valid state teaching certificate as required by state, contract/district regulations
• Minimum of one year experience in a teaching environment (preferred)
• State Teacher Certification; Type:
  – Standard Elementary Teaching (preferred)
  – Standard Secondary Teaching (preferred)
  – Standard Special Teaching (preferred)
• Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) (preferred)
• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
• Current CPR (if applicable)
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray (if applicable)
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
• Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age
