School Tutor I $25/hr!!

The Tutor is responsible for assisting service recipients in meeting their educational goals and aspirations through positive educational support and direct tutoring. Also responsible for enhancing study skills and facilitate the understanding of educational concepts. 

Responsibilities

• Works on increasing socially significant skills (language, social, self-help) 
• Demonstrates support of educational outcomes for service recipients supported
• In accordance with individual educational goals, provide training and/or assistance to ensure growth toward goals
• Listens to and responds to the needs of service recipients, parents/guardians, area program staff, and agency management
• Utilize State Specific Core Curriculum Content Standards in every tutoring session and document appropriately in tutor progress note (if applicable per state working in)
• Completes all mandated supervision and training and maintain as required
• Communicates in a professional manner with service recipients, employers, parents/guardians, area program staff, and agency staff
• Ability to offer and accept constructive feedback, encourage and support others.
• Show respect and sensitivity for each person’s individuality and preferences, and the cultural/ethnic diversity of the people we support and employ.
• Promotes and/or protects each person’s rights, privacy, and confidentiality.
• Demonstrates the ability to be flexible, reliable, and dependable
