Amergis Educational Staffing is hiring a full-time Special Education Teacher for Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing students in Tulsa, Oklahoma. This role begins October 27, 2025, and runs through May 21, 2026.

Position Overview:

Location: Tulsa, OK
Start Date: October 27, 2025
End Date: May 21, 2026
Schedule: 37.5 hours/week, availability needed between 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM (varies by grade level)
Modality: In-person
Interview Type: Virtual or in-person

Caseload: TBD
Support: Classroom support provided
Group Support Model: Yes

Responsibilities:

Teach academic subjects using regular or adapted curriculum
Provide services to students who are deaf and/or hard of hearing
Collaborate with families and school staff to ensure required services are delivered
Support students in their home school environments

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in education or related field (preferred)
Valid Oklahoma teaching certificate in Special Education and hearing impaired (or ability to obtain)
Knowledge of ASL and amplification devices
Experience with deaf and hard-of-hearing students (preferred)
Understanding of IEPs, MEEGS process, and IDEA 2004
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace
Bilingual in Spanish (preferred)
CPR certification, TB clearance, and health certificate as applicable
Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
Must be at least 18 years of age
